medical alert braceletsWe all know how a good night's sleep makes us feel - more energised, more alert and better able to face the day. Yet another study has emphasised just how true this is. The study, published online by the Journal of Adolescent Health analysed data from 2,700 US teens aged 13 to 18. Of these, 30% said they went ot bed later than 11.30pm. By the time they graduated, the study clearly shows that the sleep deprived kids had lower marks and more emotional problems than the other children. The message is clear - get your teen to bed at an earlier time.

Here are some tips on getting teens to sleep earlier.

1. Turn off the wifi feeding phones and computers at 10pm.

2. Have take a hot bath or shower before bedtime.

3. Get them into the habit of soft music, or whale sounds (or whatever) whilst getting to sleep.

4. If light is an issue have them wear an airline mask.

What a recent customer said:

" In 1985 I went into Anaphylaxis after a 25 mg shot of Demerol...my heart stopped...they got it going again with Benadryl & Epinephrine. I tried 2 metal bracelets, but they both broke. I've worn nothing since 1990. I now teach an inclusive PreK (16 students-8 with disabilities). I had a non-disabled student seize during nap time while I was gone. They called Mom and an ambulance and he's okay, but no one was sure what to do. I decided to buy some write-on bracelets for my students who vary in their need...and use one myself...so others aren't left not-knowing what to do when any need arises. I love that the red color alerts/reminds us to look further for help...the metal bracelets can easily be overlooked as jewelry. Thank you so much for having these silicone mediband medical alert bracelets available. - See more medibandplus testimonial.
