There is a physical response the body makes to bad posture; just one is when the diaphragm is squeezed when slouching oxygen intake is reduced and this affects the brain's ability to concentrate. One study showed that people who were directed to sit and stand well had better concentration and they were happier.

Get happier! Some quite simple strategies can make quite a difference it seems. Learn to argue less - the need to always get your point of view across leads to stress and anger at not being listened to. Decide what arguments are important to you and avoid the ones that just aren't that important. Look yourself in the mirror on a bathroom break and tell yourself how good you look today (and ignore the self talk that suggests you don't!). Focus on the present and enjoy whatever it is you're doing right now and put aside worries for later on.
