Are Your Clinical Trial Participants Wearing Medical ID?

You might not know, but ANZCOR, the Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation, which consists of The Australian Resuscitation Council and the New Zealand Resuscitation Council, recommmends checking for medical ID in an emergency, by bystanders, first aiders or first aid providers, first responders and health professionals.

ANZCOR GUIDELINE 2: MANAGING AN EMERGENCY CHECKING MEDICAL ID IS REQUIRED.

“...the management of the collapsed or injured person involves checking for physical (eg. alert jewellery) devices that may be relevant to assessment or management"

"This guideline is for use by bystanders, first aiders or first aid providers, first responders and health professionals."

Improve patient safety in your trial and ensure that your pharmacovigilance team are aware of the importance for their participants to wear medical ID.
