What to engrave, and in what order

The band is custom, so the hard part is deciding what goes on it. Engraving space is finite and a responder reads top to bottom, so order matters as much as content.

Write it so a stranger can act on it

Abbreviations that are obvious to you may not be to someone reading your wrist at 3am. Spell out the condition rather than using an acronym, and put the medication name rather than a description of what it does.

Leave off what will not change the first five minutes

Historical surgeries, resolved conditions and a long medication list crowd out the lines that matter. If there is more information than fits, engrave the critical items and note that fuller details are held elsewhere. Multiple languages are available
