  1. A healthy way to get into the new year:

Whoa there... that new year's resolution to get fit still top of your list? Chances are you'll be jumping into it like a bull at a gate (we all do), but that is not the way to do it according to this recent report on CBC News. The sharp, intense workouts that the average post-Christmas adult jumps into can damage your kidneys because of the release of chemicals into the bloodstream after intense exercise we're no, longer used to doing. 2. The new year and your health

2013 Happy New YearWhy not start the new year off with some healthy living tips that will set you up for success throughout the year? 1. Wear a pedometer.  How on earth is that healthy? We humans are naturally competitive and if you get into the habit of checking how far you walk each day, you'll naturally want to beat yourself... and the more walking you do, the healthier you'll be. The diagnosis was made after Hannah experienced an unexpected anaphylactic attack from eating an instant packet of macaroni cheese. “The only reasonable explanation for such a serious reaction to the microwaved packet of macaroni cheese is that it must have been manufactured on equipment used to produce seafood or fish products”, Miss Kean said. “Ever since then I have been fatally allergic to iodine, crustaceans and all types of fish and in my early 20’s I had between 30 and 40 anaphylactic episodes which were life threatening. “At the same time as being diagnosed with Anaphylaxis, I began to lose my hearing. Several years later the progressive hearing loss led my rheumatologist to diagnose me with a genetic auto immune disorder known as Muckle Wells Syndrome, and now I am 99.98 per cent deaf. “In any year I can spend up to two months in hospital at a time, and as I live on my own my Continue reading →
