Testimonial by Sharna (Cordeaux Heights, NSW, Australia)Being the co-ordinator of the Beacon Foundation "No Dole Program" I wanted something totally different to give to the students, as a symbol of thier committment. Doing a search on Google led me to Handband. I sent an email and didn't think i would get a reply in time (standard internet response)- but how wrong i was! Michael emailed me straight away, was so helpful, and even followed it up with many phonecalls - truly professional and amazing. I could not believe the speed in which we received our delivery, and the bands were a massive hit. We left it as a surprise and got each student up to receive a certificate and a customised handband. It was so sucessful that we use them as an entry requirement into workshops related to the program. The rest of the school were extremely jealous and are hassling me to get one for their year! Guests that were at our Pledge Day even asked for one - our local Mayor even has one, Australian Surfer Mick Lowe, and our national Co-ordinator Julian Mostert took it to a State Meeting, and I just received an email from a Victorian School that are interested in Handband! There are over 70 schools in Australia now that are going to use Handband next year! My students are very jealous and said to remember that Lake High started it first!!
